- josephcsible 4y agoYet another example of why the GPL is good and CLAs are bad. If this project were GPL'd with no CLA, then this would have been illegal to do.
- skissane 4y agoThe behaviour of the maintainer here is unbelievable - introduced a feature which others criticised, responds to criticism by changing the license to prohibit changing the code to disable the feature. From what I understand, the controversial feature is modifying disk image files in-place when opening them. Several users believe (not unreasonably) that should not happen - a program should not modify a file if it doesn’t actually have any change to make to its data - or at least, such a feature should be an option turned off by default. The critics seem right.
