Here's an idea for setting up the dev tools and accounts: automate the process, write integration tests and put it in a CI pipeline. Whenever breaking changes are made to the tools or services your tests will fail, and you don't have to find out the hard way during onboarding. When a new hire needs to get their computer and accounts set up, just run that automation.
- infogulch 4y agoGreat idea! And a good opportunity to do end-to-end onboarding+offboarding integration tests to make sure everything is cleaned up too.
