A Face Search Engine Anyone Can Use Is Alarmingly Accurate
- ikurei 4y agoPrevious discussion in 2020: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23744613 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23744613 People in there remarked that it was not very effective, but from that NY Times article it either has improved, or works great for journalists who are somewhat publicly known? I'm not willing to upload my picture to test just yet.

- ikurei 4y agoI missed those, my bad. I didn't search correctly.
- ColinWright 4y agoEvery time I submit something I hit the "past" link to see if it's been submitted before, and if so, whether there had been any discussion. In a sense, having been submitted before is validation, and maybe that's a good reason (if it was long enough ago) to submit it again anyway. The odd thing is when there are several submissions, and yet no discussion.
