I noticed that the Nest asks you for your zip code. Maybe it uses the Wi-Fi connection to pull weather information so it can make adjustments like this?

I noticed that the Nest asks you for your zip code. Maybe it uses the Wi-Fi connection to pull weather information so it can make adjustments like this?
- alirov 15y agoYou're right, it does check the weather through the Wi-Fi connection: "Nest uses its Wi-Fi connection to keep an eye on current weather conditions and forecasts so it can understand how the outside temperature affects your energy use."
