- rektide 4y agoSome really compelling features! A lot of improvements to keep time, be in sync better, with a new algorithm & new lower sync defaults for module-loopback. New opus network transport! Improved latency handling in tunnels & combine sink! Bluetooth battery reporting. These days Pipewire is all the rage. It too has bluetooth battery status (alongside upowerd). I havent tried doing something like I used to do with Pulse on Pipewire- using a combined sync to output via onboard, usb, and bluetooth audio all at once. With 1s adapt time it was pretty ok on pulse, and it sounds very promising that it ought "just work" very well out of box in Pulse now. I wonder how pw does! This Pulse release tuning network tunneling is great, real great, and adding opus compressed audio support adds a wonderful feature PipeWire doesnt have yet.
