iPhone secret features: Save as PDF
- dontbenebby 4y agoWhy would you keep something like this secret? I once had to show a JD how to print to PDF on a laptop, and they acted like I'd just turned water into weed ticture.
- CrimsonCape 4y agoHas anybody figured out the "screenshot -> Full Page" save to PDF option when the page is too long and gets cut off? I like to save MSDN pages and the result would be great, bt there's an arbitrary height cutoff apparently that makes the feature unusable.
- lastdong 4y agoAs an alternative you can try this: share and select the Books app (might be under more option), it will create a pdf of the web page. edit: just noticed yunohn is sharing the same solution below.
- nmlt 4y agoThese days (or always, I don’t know) you can also select print and then tap print in the top right corner without selecting a printer. That will also open the new share menu with the option to save to files.
- yunohn 4y agoIt doesn’t seem like I’m able to select no printer - it auto-selects my default one and refuses to deselect.
- yunohn 4y agoIt’s crazy that this feature is so hidden, leave it to Apple to obscure such useful functions. I spent a long time trying to Print to PDF on iOS - my previous solution was sending URLs to the Books app. It creates a PDF in Books that I can then share.
- fomine3 4y agoIt's extremely hard to find this feature. I sometimes want to use this but I can't find it without googling. Bad design.
