Tests are a complete waste of time. Nothing in the world of work truly resembles what a test is so why bother testing for it.
Students should be graded on projects and ability to do real things not memorization of a pre-determined set of facts.
- tsukikage 4y agoUnit testing is also frequently very artificial and disconnected from production use of a codebase. Nevertheless, there is a great deal of value in checking whether things you wrote actually do have the effects you intended.
