Rumor: Nvidia RTX 4090, RTX 4080, RTX 4070, and RTX 4060 specs leak
- culopatin 4y agoTo me any video card is a rumor because they are either out of stock or available at scalper prices which I won’t pay.
- Shadonototra 4y agoRTX 2060: 160W RTX 3060: 170W RTX 4060: 200W entry level GPUs are starting to become very power hungry not looking good For comparison, M1 max macbook, only uses 110W at full load
- smoldesu 4y agoM1 Max only puts up ~ 1/4th of the GPU compute power of a 3080. If these specs are true, the M1 Max may well be ~7-8x slower in the GPU department when compared to a 4080. Different tools for different jobs. None of this neccesarily looks "not good"
- Shadonototra 4y agoi said entry level GPU, why you talk about 4080? https://www.notebookcheck.net/M1-Max-32-Core-GPU-vs-GeForce-RTX-3060-Laptop-GPU-vs-NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-3060_10970_10478_10960.247598.0.html https://www.notebookcheck.net/M1-Max-32-Core-GPU-vs-GeForce-...
- smoldesu 4y agoBecause the M1 Max isn't an entry-level GPU, it's a professional component shipping in $2,000+ laptops.
- Shadonototra 4y agoi'm not comparing a laptop, i'm comparing chips, and more precisely the power usage, and how it grew on the entry level, compared to the competition and their effort to reduce it! why trying to deviate the point?
- pizza 4y agoNow that the 3090 prices are terrestrial again, wondering if it's worth holding off for a 4090 if they really do end up doing ~50% more CUDA processing. But then I remember the pandemonium of the 3000 series release. Fool me once, shame on me, but fool me twice, well... May as well get the 3090 while I can
