Rather than building cacheing in, AFNetworking is designed to work with NSURLCache. I strongly recommend Peter Steinberger's [SDURLCache](https://github.com/steipete/SDURLCache https://github.com/steipete/SDURLCache) fork, which includes disk cacheing on iOS.
