That's approximately one mass school shooting every 4 years. That's a _lot_.
Sure, there aren't 27 _mass_ school shootings, but the fact that someone can bring a gun to school and shoot someone - even just one person - that's scary.
And if we're looking at mass shootings in general, the GunViolence Archive has a list: https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting - it's 9 pages long, and if I counted right there are over 200 of them already.
It's really not fun to be reminded of these stats, one can only hope something can be done about this. I won't pretend to know what that is, but it feels like we've done nothing and are already out of ideas.

In the 21st century convention of counting public health dangers in units of 9/11s, mass school shootings in the US are like a 9/11 every 1,108 years.

- pixelatedindex 4y agoCompared to 0 on one side of the equation, and let’s say compared to a decade on the other side of the equation. 4 years is pretty often - once a leap year, or one in every US Presidents’ term (if you want to be political about it).
