My favorite thing I've found myself doing is taking some of my older machines I use as physical sandboxes and prepping them with various OS images, then capturing them with Clonezilla and using the recovery-iso-zip option to build a custom "autonuke" ISO. I then slap the "autonuke" ISOs on my IODD drive emulator so I can have a fairly rapid offline recovery when I need to re-stage a physical rig.
