So this happened on a system that serves up user provided files; clam(d?) was doing some ram intensive things and oomd decided to kill it without much ceremony, this workload while ram tight worked without issue for 10+ years but this also could be a Ubuntu requiring more ram usage compared to previous versions. If I didn't notice this the end result could have been a bit rough.
