Proctoring software is used for anticheating. It invades your privacy and has false positives.
It watches the eyes, but what if you write the problem on scratch paper and look down at it then up to the screen? Does it flag it as cheating?
- BizarroLand 4y agoNo, I've been on the receiving end of proctoring software. They do some basic screening, like looking around the room and using a mirror to make sure the web cam is authentic and connected to the screen, but there are still ways to work around it. Even something as simple as running the software from a virtual machine would be enough to bypass it, and then you could get assistance from another person searching the answers up for you.
