This is roughly the premise of Neal Stephenson's new book Termination Shock, if anyone's looking for a (IMO pretty fun) fictional exploration of the idea.
- kaon123 4y agoHuh? I thought it was the plot of "The ministry of the future"? Also written by an SF author (Kim Stanley Robinson). Ah well I guess great minds think alike. It is not an unlikely future.
