DuckDuckGo faces widespread backlash over tracking deal with Microsoft
- 0daystock 4y agoI'm shocked - shocked, I tell you - that a service hosted on Microsoft servers is threatening privacy.
- godshatter 4y agoNow I'm worried about some of the other privacy browsers that use Bing, such as my new favorite which is Brave search. I use them because they are actually building and using their own search index so at least any deals with the devil would go away some day, at least theoretically. DDG is probably still better than just going to Bing (or Google) in terms of privacy, but this is a good reminder that it's all about the lesser evil or who is less tainted.
- SpikeDad 4y agoSigh. Multiple posts here have explained this. The DDG CEO stayed on a thread to discuss this and well I thought. Maybe the admins will remove this. I certainly hope so.
