Sounds like you’re a brilliant asshole.
Some developers can sometimes lack the social skills to work cohesively with a team especially if they regard everyone as beneath them when it comes to IQ (stupid).
It’s a good thing you recognize friction points - perhaps it’s something you can work on?
- kcplate 4y agoI can tell you from my experience in management, if a “brilliant asshole” isn’t perceived as being invaluable, they are generally not worth the cultural chaos in the organization they cause. I have exited quite a few extremely smart folks simply because their personalities created toxicity far beyond their value.
