Show HN: Vaxiin – Zombie server recovery engine
- johng 4y agoWow this is really awesome! Edit: I wasn't really sure what this was going to be based off the description though. Mentioning IPMI/iDRAC/OOB Management in the title might let people know at a glance.
- balex 4y agoThank you! We're still figuring out how to present this, so... Yeah, good point. btw, if you like it, we'd appreciate the GH stars at https://github.com/rebootoio/vaxiin-sandbox https://github.com/rebootoio/vaxiin-sandbox :-)
- johng 4y agoStarred. We need people to vote this up. I think a lot of people would be interested it’s just not making the front page.
- balex 4y agoThank you! Yes, it's really hard to get the right audience to notice. I feel there's a layer of the tech stack that's not getting a lot of attention, but is ripe for disruption. Vaxiin is our first (public) stab at serving it. Would you happen to have ideas how to spread the word beyond HN? We tried a couple of reddit forums, but met mostly cynical responses. It was rather disheartening.
- johng 4y agoI'll wait a couple of days and try to resubmit this with a different title and description. Other than that, maybe have someone prominent in the industry link to it?
