- anwarhahn 4y agoI remember playing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_(card_game) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_(card_game) a few years back and I was really bad at it. Recently, I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTDKqW_GLkw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTDKqW_GLkw about the math behind mono matching games and how you could use cyclic difference set to generate the cards behind a mono matching game. I don't understand the maths fully, but the concepts made me remember the game SET. I wondered if I could generate the cards for SET using a similar technique - but I couldn't figure out how to do that. If anyone has any ideas on cool algorithms to generate set boards where we can derive the number of valid sets without an exhaustive search - I'm all ears! Until then, enjoy the brute force version I created. Cheers!
- mutant 4y agoThis is pretty fun, thanks for introducing me to set!
- anwarhahn 4y agoGlad you had fun! Thanks for trying it out :)
- anwarhahn 4y agoDoes anyone actually try to guess the number of sets? Or do people go straight for the unicorns?
