I have an induction stove. It came with the house I bought. It's fairly nice, I like how fast it heats up the pans, I've never had a huge pot of water boil as quickly as with this type of stove, it works great with a flat bottom wok, etc. but I did lose a few pans to incompatibility, including my favorite $7 thrift store rescue All Clad skillet that was unfortunately made with too much aluminum to trigger the inductor.
I've mostly had the metal round eyes to cook on, but I've also had ceramic tops and my dad had a natural gas stove and of the lot I think I prefer the induction on everything except cost, as a low end replacement would be about $1,500 compared to a $500 round eye stove.
