They probably want those people as customers in order to garner fee payments, but they won't extend credit to those people. Those are two different activities.

- gruez 4y agoexcept, the parent post claims the system to "essentially keep unbanked populations unbanked" and "opening new accounts at banks that utilize ChexSystems becomes nearly impossible". Presumably if you want these people to be your customers and rack up fees, you'd want them to at least hold an account?
