In my opinion Lamport is the greatest computing scientist since Dijkstra. His work on the win and sin predicate transformers is grossly neglected and under appreciated. Dijkstra was the first to formalize interrupts and nondeterminism, but Lamport took it to the next level.

- rramadass 4y agoRight, this is also my viewpoint! We need Scientists like them to beat the importance of Mathematical Thinking into our lazy brains. No wishy-washy compromises but just full focus on usage of Correct Logic. Now the next step is for somebody who understands their writings to teach us unwashed masses :-(
