You should open source the data.

The ThreadEx project is http://threadex.rcc-acis.org http://threadex.rcc-acis.org This suggests its using the data from a service that is collected from http://www.ncei.noaa.gov http://www.ncei.noaa.gov which right on the front has: Looking for Data?
