BBC apologises after 'Manchester United are rubbish' appears on screen
- jamespwilliams 4y ago> An official BBC statement added: "There was a technical glitch during training with our test ticker, which rolled over to live programming for a few seconds.
- EddieDante 4y agoWhy is the BBC apologizing? Manchester United only wins 42% of its matches according to FootyStats[0]. [0]: https://footystats.org/clubs/manchester-united-fc-149 https://footystats.org/clubs/manchester-united-fc-149
- musicale 4y ago> Another message which appeared on the ticker read simply: "Weather rain everywhere." Also accurate.
- ksaj 4y agoIt just seems like typical British humour to me. Obviously it wasn't meant to air (like the crazy weather report messages that came along with it). But it's pretty much apropos.
