Test strips are inconvenient to use. You have to mix you drugs in water to test them, which means if you want to snort your drugs you need to plan ahead far enough to dry them back out again. If you don't mix the correct ratio of drugs to water its very easy to get false positive (for amphetamines and mdma) or a false negative with others. Also, frankly, it makes the whole experience less sexy and fun. I know its a dumb reason but its true.
