While I appreciate the content, I didn't find anything new here that wasn't hidden behind a sales pitch. I understand that research isn't always free, and I'm fine with the sale, but I expected something new to encourage me. Line height 1.5, 50 to 75 characters per line, double spacing between paragraphs, these are practically defaults (and bare minimum) for anybody interested in readability or typography. Not even a bone thrown to serif vs sans-serif, or font weights, or text alignment (beyond the word spacing suggestion which is iffy to me).
I was expecting at least some consideration for the ever-changing literacy levels of consumers, or margin and padding considerations for multimedia presentation. Maybe something about contrast, since that's a recent hot topic here.
Perhaps the paid version of the content will blow my mind, but I am not convinced that it will be anything new worth paying for. Not sure if OP is related to the topic or just found it interesting, but on the off-chance the author(s) read this, you gotta sell me harder.
