- BashiBazouk 4y agoWell, we called them plotters when printing plan sets...
- vincnetas 4y agoYou could have called them "cars" or "planes" or whatever. This does not change the definition of word "plotter" ;) edit: well, when i think about it, it does change definition of word if everyone starts calling plotters "cars", but there has to be a majority.

- myself248 4y agoIf it understands a plotter pen-based language like HPGL, I consider it a plotter even if the actual print mechanism is an inkjet. I say this as someone with a Draftmaster II in the spare bedroom...
- BashiBazouk 4y agoIt's been many years since I've ran plan sets, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but we would occasionally get old school plot files. The Canon RIP that controlled the plotter would covert them automatically.
