One place I am using decorators is pytorch in combination with hydra. Decorating functions so that an instantiation returns a function , not a call of the function. This allows easy reuse of existing functions in ETL pipeline setting it up with config files and hydra.
But I have to say, the native python logging module is pure evil.
- memco 4y agoI just posted another comment advocating that using logging would be better than redirect: I use it quite extensively in production and am mostly happy with its setup and use: what makes it evil for you and what is different about data science that makes it so?
