Pretty obvious what they're going for here, but a welcome move all the same IMO. I always trim down the UI as much as I can when working on IntelliJ/RubyMine, so I appreciate them making it look like VSCode while still having the powerful IDE tooling underneath.
- mikece 4y agoThey are also coming out with a competitor to VS Code before long. I am interested to see how that performs as it will not be based on Electron.
- SemanticStrengh 4y agonative UIs are generally slower than web, although at least it seems they are using the chromium 2D renderer Skia here
