Ask HN: What is your preferred blogging technique?

Hi, after a few months of using Wordpress I'm not entirely satisfied with the way I have to write/upload posts and images on my website. Recently I've played a bit with Jekyll on my computer and it looks promising, except for the part where you need to use a third party server for comments. What is your preferred blogging technique ?
