I have a friend who bought some Sony Lavalier ECM 44B microphones - quite pricey. He also found the same thing on Ali-Express, out of curiosity he bought some. When they arrived they were identical to the Sony down to the mold parting lines and the mold inserts that are used as batch trackers for QC - the inserts are rotated to point to a number. The wire/clips/mike etc were the same. He is a Sony dealer, so he contacted Sony Canada and they agreed = same stuff. Apparently this is common in all manner of many makers products, and he said Sony also knows and they have no way to fight it as the makers and seller obfuscate at all points. Chinese authorities are no help, so they simply endure it.
High end stuff, like Sony Cameras have sole source parts, like Canon sensors and lenses that they make their real $$ on that are impossible copy in a way to make a camera that will not fall flat when the customer uses it to take a video..
