The author wants to be paid for his reporting, but when it comes with such a big heap of selective omissions (which is, sadly, the norm), is it any wonder people aren't willing to pay, when all their money gets them is facts filtered to support pre-selected conclusions?
This kind of journalism is functionally indistinguishable from being told what to think, and few are willing to pay for that.
- rvz 4y agoYes. It is no different to the mainstream media. News that is filtered / edited out to suit their own narrative or even poisoning the well. They won’t admit it, but they really love it when they successfully create outrage from their articles or clickbait. They need the ad money, so they will keep manipulating their readers for that. Outrage sells and makes $$$ and gets the ad revenue in, especially on free sites.
