Germans are always complaining although they are amongst the richest in Europe. In Finland it's 2,50 EUR/liter (somewhat less in the very south) and at least IT salaries are mostly lower. What I did not see mentioned here that gas(US)/petrol(UK) will also be temporarily subsidized (by tax reduction) by the same law package as this 9 EUR ticket. (German living in Finland.)
