- onurcel 4y agoIn my opinion Tesla has the largest part of the fault here. You can say "yeah we all know Elon Musk is lying and that is not a real auto-pilot", but I am having hard time to understand why the responsability of a blatantly lying company/CEO is not discussed.
- mlindner 4y agoDon't conflate product predictions of eventual functionality with actual advertisements of current functionality.
- happytoexplain 4y agoBut "our product will be able to do X" followed later by "and here's our great product!" can be understandably confusing for consumers, even if you don't technically say "our product can currently do X".
- mikkergp 4y agoIn that video he says "A model S or Model X at this point can drive autonomously with better safety than a person right now"
- pmoriarty 4y ago"a person" That person being the worst driver in the world.
- Hamuko 4y agoThe actual advertisements aren't that better considering the option is literally called "Full Self-Driving Capability".
- FartyMcFarter 4y agoThe actual advertisment is pretty bad too: https://www.tesla.com/autopilot https://www.tesla.com/autopilot Watch the first video there and how it begins.
