Still plenty of diesel run train engines in Germany. Also coal is still being burnt. So I don't think it is mostly renewable.

- kuschku 4y agoIn both of these cases, the energy per person-kilometer of transportation is orders of magnitudes lower than with an ICE car. So the energy usage would still go down
- april_22 4y agoI think that the Deutsche Bahn runs 100% on clean energy.
