Slaughter/suffering free pork cultivated meat
- WesolyKubeczek 4y agoIf they succeed, we’re going to eat vat-grown meat as in those Gibson cyberpunk novels. (They should also try and cultivate prawn while they are at it.) Some of us will later sell their hovercraft to be able to afford a genuine steak.
- beej71 4y agoThese stories always make me think of Wendymeat from Rudy Rucker's books.
- peterpost2 4y agoIf this works out this will be great for the environment and the prevention of future pandemics! Hope you guys succeed!
- mdrzn 4y agoHonestly can't wait for it to succeed and make it as tasty as the made-by-suffering one. There's not that much offer for "fake meats" in EU at the moment.
- cercatrova 4y agoThe reason I like lab grown meat is not (necessarily) because of reduced suffering, but because in the future, I can get a very high quality cut of meat for much cheaper than today, simply because cuts of meat differ mainly in their amalgamation of fat and muscle cells, and if you control the entire cell cultivation process, well, you can reorder the fat and muscle cells in whatever way you want.
- goldcd 4y agoIs this kosher/halal? - there's an untapped market right there.
