Reading arguments that are so full of wisdom from more than a 100 years ago is one of the very rare things that I truly enjoy these days. If these people were alive today, I would thank them in writing. It's disturbing how arguments in favor of privacy today are met with criticisms so weak logically that humanity does not stand a chance. It's tough to not explode with rage when somebody says "but in the caveman days, nobody had their own room they could go to be alone" ... Yes but you could walk 30 minutes in any direction and never have to deal with your cave pals ever again.
