- ceejayoz 4y agoOne of Soylent's primary ingredients is sunflower oil, for which the world's largest producer is (drumroll please) Ukraine. Guess who's #2, and under major international sanctioning? Between them, they're about 50% of worldwide production.
- stickfigure 4y agoI assumed parent was referring to the Green variety. The primary ingredient is... abundant.
- PebblesRox 4y agoI have never been able to understand how Soylent has taken off given the name. And I haven't even watched the movie!

- sudden_dystopia 4y agoYou should probably avoid seed oils anyway.
- TillE 4y agoThis aversion to "seed oils" (a totally made-up, arbitrary category) is one of the weirdest health fads I've seen in recent years, and that's saying something.
- DANK_YACHT 4y agoWhy? I’ve heard olive oil is pretty good.
- samatman 4y agoOlive oil comes from the fruit of the olive.
- DANK_YACHT 4y agoInteresting. I didn’t know that.
- Fargoan 4y agoWe can probably up production here in North Dakota
- windowsrookie 4y agoI'm looking at my bag of Soylent right now and sunflower oil is not a listed ingredient. Canola oil is the second ingredient. This is the powder.
