TLDR: Smart guy has a sexual relationship with someone who is lower in the organizational hierarchy. She tells him she wants an open relationship and also sleeps with other men. After several months, he wants to break up. She gets mad and has him cancelled.
Sadly, our hyper-outrage culture makes all this possible.
- jghn 4y agoTLDR: An incredibly one sided writeup failed to mention that an independent investigation came to the conclusion that there was indeed a pattern of bad behavior.
- chucksta 4y agoI don't know anything about this, do you have good info for the other side?
- kshacker 4y agoI read the article. My first thought was that there was a lot of defense so was it a paid article? But no, there is so much valid defense. If his colleagues have been banned from socializing, it may not be probable, but people should be able to confirm it. On balance, i am buying what this article is selling but keeping time to research more on this story.
- ARandomerDude 4y agoI don't think you read the article.
- stjohnswarts 4y agoA lot of those investigations start out assuming the man is at fault. It is just the way society leans. Women are as perfectly capable of violence and anger as men, but often get a pass because they can't (usually) physically get the upper hand on a male without a weapon. They are more than capable of making it up in psychological violence. Humans are good at that regardless of genders and non-genders.
- quantified 4y agoEvidence-based writeup of the other side would be helpful. Not just using euphemisms or vague categorical descriptors like "inappropriate behavior".
