This was a very interesting read. IMO the author underplays the visual ugliness of some Rust code. Programmers tend to look at code for hours a day for years, and so it should not be visually taxing to read and parse. This is why syntax highlighting exists, after all. But the gist I got from it is that Rust is really a very good static analyser.
