I used K-9 for a long time until I upgraded my phone and K-9 wasn't supported on the newer version of Android so I switched to Faire mail. Has K-9 been updated to support newer versions of Android?
- NoGravitas 4y agoI'm running it on LineageOS 19.1 (Android 12), so it must have been.
- stevesimmons 4y agoK-9 version 6.0 came out last month.
- g_p 4y agoI don't think K9 supports XOAUTH authentication over IMAP/SMTP yet [0], which is increasingly widely required by mail services. [0] https://github.com/k9mail/k-9/issues/655 https://github.com/k9mail/k-9/issues/655
- forbiddenlake 4y agoAccording to that bug report, K-9 plans to add this support in the next version! (it was added to the milestone 17 days ago, but also updated today after the Fairemail news)
