It says Google earned $2bn in 2021 in Russia, but I'd guess (like any good overseas company) they've been keeping the local operations pretty cash-lean and probably have more debtors than cash to be taken, right? Very sad for local employees though. What's everyone else's read?
- rurban 4y agoWell, it's right there: "the authorities seizure of Google Russia’s bank account". Due to legal censorship struggles of Russia with Google, they seized the account, so they cannot pay their employees and offices anymore. They have to file for bankruptcy, and maybe open another local company to move their employees to. Or get them out of this hell.
