Mathjax displays LaTeX equations within html documents. This processes entire LaTeX code (documents), including, it seems, packages and preamble. It is more similar to TeX4ht or hevea in this sense. I am not sure how it does this without reimplementing TeX.I haven't tested it beyond their playground example. I assume there will be some corner cases.
