- anonnewgrad 4y agoYeah, I think my hesitation is present due to this job not being in the “tech” sector. It feels more old school.
- tapvt 4y agoI’ve worked in both “tech” and “tech-adjacent” roles over 20+ years. The tech-side of the equation often compensates better, the adjacent roles can have job security like you’d not believe, though it may be a bit boring. YMMV
- u2077 4y agoI’d say the easy part is deciding if you should negotiate, but do you have any tips on how to negotiate?
- mountainriver 4y agoSee if the company publishes their pay bands, get multiple offers, charm them
- treis 4y agoPeople absolutely do that. Not people you really want to work for, but OP has no other options. Take the offer, get experience, and look for your payday in a couple years at Job #2.
