All the work LiveKit is doing makes me so excited for the future of WebRTC. WebRTC as a protocol can't offer these optimizations out of the box. It requires a opinionated layer on top of it. It frustrates me seeing companies claiming that their proprietary solution beats WebRTC. They are comparing their optimized implementation to generic WebRTC. It is frustrating as a WebRTC implementer having to navigate FUD like this. So check out LiveKit and enjoy great quality with open standards :) Even if you don't use LiveKit you can learn from their optimizations and bring them into your own system.
