I'm a contrast junky. Can't stand modern IDE and editor colorschemes like solarized because they're too vague and murky. Give me strong colours god damn it.

- abdusco 4y agoAgreed. I also set up my IDE (Jetbrains) so that it switches between light and dark themes according to my system preferences (which reflects available daylight) Because reading code on a light theme is so much easier on the eyes during daytime. I don't understand why "coders" insist on dark mode everywhere all the time.
- planede 4y agoI find syntax highlighting to be much more visible in a dark theme. Otherwise I agree.
- planede 4y agoI'm in the same boat, I'm happy with tempus_future in neovim https://github.com/protesilaos/tempus-themes https://github.com/protesilaos/tempus-themes I have my custom theme for the 16 terminal colors, as tempus doesn't handle well dark <color>/light <color> contrast with the same <color>, and some terminal applications like to do that... But I'm not fully happy with my custom theme yet, the dark colors are too dark.
