- Myndex 4y agoYea, it's annoying. Medium does not allow the author to pick the text color. Believe it or not, this combo was the best contrast. Medium's fischer price CMS is really weak in this area.
- smcl 4y agoYeah it's rgb(238, 225, 243) which is, IMO, pretty close to ... grey
- Markoff 4y agoyou have issues with your display/eyesight, if you see there white, beause it's pink
- rafaelturk 4y agoYep! Even hex colors are misleading these days..
- jjkaczor 4y agoThe article was published April 1st... I am thinking this was intended to be a joke, as this is the first thing I noticed, breaking it's own rules for "clarity of text".
- Myndex 4y agoIt's Medium's CMS. Author has no control over the text color, and I've been experimenting with combinations trying to find something useful. An effort in futility. I'm planning on moving my articles to my own site... then... then this went viral. OMG. The true irony.
- mmis1000 4y agoGitHub used to have something like grey on dark blue in its dark theme. And it is nearly unreadable. Fortunately, they changed it to some sane color. https://userstyles.org/style_screenshots/199552_after.png?r=1652892683 https://userstyles.org/style_screenshots/199552_after.png?r=... I used to make user style just to make it readable. The top right is the original color of GitHub dark theme, and left bottom is the one I modified. Someone set the color must forget how srgb works. #808080 is not half of the light level. It's about 1/3.
