I test internal/enterprise software for a large corp in US. The reason I’m not able to disconnect is the sheer amount of work thrust at me, coupled with an incompetent team located in another part of the world (I have to manage them during weird hours). It’s living hell, and I can’t get out (combination of visa restrictions, decent pay, location). It’s an entirely different reality compared to what others have shared here, and I know a lot of folks who are in the same boat with me.
