In the US, there are now two jobs for every one person looking for work. It always has been, and will be, up to someone to agree to the terms offered, and they may always refuse. I know it's en vogue to pretend that everyone is a helpless idiot being taken advantage of, and that they need to be rescued by the state.. and that is partially responsible for the lack of accountability people have for their situation. No one must connect to anything if they don't choose to. Take responsibility for your agreements, and meet them.
