All Models Are Wrong
- jleyank 4y agoNewtonian mechanics is "wrong", but useful for everyday, macroscopic life. Relativity and Quantum Mechanics both provide good answers in their respective regimes, but they don't play well together. This suggests that there's more fundamental models/rules that are not yet found. And as the joke goes, all apes who naturally made overly complex models failed to grab the next vine and so left the gene pool. We only need things complex enough to yield useful answers.
