Twitter Senior Engineer Says “Twitter Does Not Believe in Free Speech”
- jleyank 4y agoConstitutional free speech means there’s no law limiting speech. This seems to be the case with twitter and all other private entities in the us. There is an anti-nazi law in Germany that would be pertinent if attempted in n America. However, there’s no right to speech without consequence, nor right to be hosted against the will of the source, nor right to be listened to. I thought everybody was big on minimizing government intervention in private activity? And there are conventional limits to free speech such as yelling fire in a theatre, movie rating systems, etc. if you want to say what you want when you want, host it.

- afrcnc 4y agoIt shouldn't. Free speech means all the wrong things in the US... like death threats, propaganda, and blatant lies.
